Q) Why can't people allergic to sulfur use this product?
A) Vanish contains a sulfur compound which would cause
a respiratory distress reaction in persons with a sulfur allergy.
Q) Why can Vanish only be used 3 times in one day, is it stressful to the hair?
A) Vanish is stress free to the hair structure. If vanish is not successful upon
3 applications it is our belief that further applications would be a waste
of time and energy.
Q) In what time frame is the use of Vanish the most successful.?
A) Vanish is most successful on a oxidative color that has been in the hair less
than 48 hours. However some success has been achieved with color in the
hair for longer periods.
Q) Why doesn't Vanish work on non-oxidative hair color?
A) Vanish does not have the ability to remove a finished dye molecule that
stains the cuticle.
Q) What type of shampoo should be used to remove Vanish from the hair?
A) A clarifying shampoo should be used.
Q) Should Vanish be rinsed before the shampoo is applied?
A) No. Water contains oxygen which may counteract the result of Vanish.
Q) What effect does Vanish have on natural hair color?
A) Vanish will not alter natural pigment.
Q) If Vanish is successful, what should I expect to see?
A) The hair should be a shade somewhere between a red-orange up through
a yellow stage. The result is dependent upon the the volume of hydrogen
peroxide the hair was exposed to during the color application.
Q) Why should I choose 2 to 3 levels lighter than my target color after an
application of Vanish?
A) Where the previous artificial pigment was removed from the cortex, the new color pigments may appear darker.
